No one likes an itchy beard. Beard itch (and the lack of quality beard care products) is actually what lead to the creation of stubble + 'stache.

I founded stubble + ‘stache in honor of a bearded friend and fellow special operations Marine who was killed in combat. While growing my beard out in tribute, I struggled with the itch and irritation that comes with growing facial hair. Unable to find any products that actually worked, I decided to make my own. I have fond memories of standing in my kitchen watching AMC’s Breaking Bad. Walt was making meth and I was making beard lotion. Originally it was just for me, but a few of my Navy SEAL buddies heard about what I was doing and wanted some. That is when I realized stubble + ‘stache could be a proper, socially-minded business. So in the fall of 2012, I got to work.

I also decided that, in addition to creating specialized skincare and grooming products for men with facial hair, we would also donate a percentage of our net profits to organizations helping the men and women suffering from the mental wounds of war, wounds that I had seen in many of my close friends and fellow service members.
