The death toll from the China coronavirus outbreak has now passed 100 with the number of infections almost doubling to over 4500 in the last 24 hours.
The virus has spread across China and to at least 16 other countries around the world.
The outbreak is thought to have originated at a seafood market in Wuhan from the illegal trade in wildlife.
The city of 11 million people is essentially on lockdown but many are thought to have left before that was put in place.
Other major cities have suspended public transport systems but there are fears authorities were too slow to react.
In several packed hospitals, medical staff are struggling to cope with the number of patients.
China is trying to build facilities at high speed to deal with the crisis.
Unlike Sars and Ebola, authorities say the virus is able to spread during its incubation period, before sufferers experience symptoms.
Experts believe that makes it much harder to contain.
