With the Thanksgiving craze rapidly being pushed away for Black Friday Savings, I decided to head trackside for some Friday afternoon fun before heading to work that evening. Unfortunately I'd missed NS Hotshot Intermodal 28R with a killer lashup as well as NS Hotshot Intermodal 27A with ANOTHER killer lashup AND NS Local/PowerMove P67 heading south with NS 4036 Long Hood Forward and mounted with a jaw-dropping K5LLA. But the day wasn't over yet. Here, NS ES44AC 8006 pulls another NS ES44AC and a Union Pacific ES44 through town on NS Hotshot Intermodal 25A. A familiar face poked out of the engineer window, Omar! It's been about two months since he returned to the rails on Norfolk Southern's system, and railfans have been out whenever he passes to say hello and welcome him back with open arms and open lenses. This, though, was my first time seeing him back in action since his return, and I never forgot that smile. No extra horns from him this afternoon, but seeing him broke the silence just fine.
