Hi Folks,

This tutorial is the first of a serie to come about sound synthesis using the various synths I use in my productions (Ichiro Toda's Synth1, Lennar Digital Sylenth1 and Digital Suburban Dexed).

In this first episode we're gonna make a lush evolving pad based on both FM and subsractive (virtual) analog synthesis, a sound that works great in ambient / chillout / deephouse / soundtrack / whateverelectronicbutcalm music.

Every step is detailled and commented, so enjoy your ride in the fantastic world of the synthesizers.

We'll use Ichiro Toda's synth1 VSTi instruement (which is, as incredible as it may sound, free !) and, just for the end, a reverb. I personnally use the built in reverb of my DAW, but any decent reverb will do the job.
