Crohn’s disease cause : Hyperactive immune response
There are two type of bacteria in Intestine
Useful bacteria : Commensals
Harmful Bacteria : Body try to get rid off as they cause disease
Crohn’s disease is due to hyperactive immune response against the useful bacteria
Symptoms : Crohn’s disease can involve small bowel, large bowel, esophagus and stomach
Large Bowel
• Diarrhoea
• Small volume
• Mutiple stools
• Urgency
• Lower abdomen pain
Small bowel
• Diarrhoea – large volume, pain abdomen, colicky or continuous
• Obstruction
Stomach
• Post prandial epigastric pain
Esophagus
• Dysphagia
