(29 Mar 2017) Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka has stressed his country's priority throughout Brexit negotiations will be to defend the rights of Czech citizens currently living and working in Britain.
Speaking in Prague on Wednesday, shortly after the British government triggered its departure from the European Union, Sobotka said Czechs had "acquired" rights in Britain as EU citizens and that his government "don't want them to lose their rights in the future."
Sobotka spoke after a weekly meeting of government ministers.
