A sweet weeks diving with Submarines Photographers & film makes from Holland. We have a full weeks diving on the Zenobia with lots of penetrations in to the middle, upper cargo decks, chain lockers, engine room and much much more.
The Zenobia was a rollo on roll off ferry that sank in June 1980 due to some of the cargo being arms for the PLO back in the day. Six members from Mossad (Israeli Special Forces) got on board and emptied one ballast tank but filled the other.
They were caught trying to remove the cargo that worried them and they turned out to be missiles.
Anyway they were transported to the local military base and then the Israeli government inisted that the were released or else. 4 hours later and Israeli Air Force plane landed at Larnaca airport and picked them up.
Now there are a few lessons to be received here... the first is that Jesus Loves You no matter what you have done in your life, the second is that you should never travel on anything unless you know what the cargo is or is might crash/sink or blow up, the third is don't beleive everything you read :)
