The mission of Asia Initiatives (AI) is to leverage the power of social capital to promote healthcare, education and sustainable development, striving to bring positive change in the quality of life of people in underserved communities. The mission of Asia Initiatives is to leverage the power of Social Capital Credits to promote healthcare, education, improve livelihoods, break environmental barriers and create sustainable development in underserved communities with a particular focus on women and their families. Asia Initiatives projects span from over 20 sites across India, Kenya, Ghana, and the United States through a holistic approach. Participants redeem the SoCCs they thus earn for school fees, very low-interest micro-credit, upskilling, and courses offered in our Learning Centers that include digital literacy, coding, animation, digital music, spoken English, vocational training, financial literacy, and life skills.
