Makerere University students have petitioned parliament through the Leader of Opposition in parliament Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba seeking parliament’s intervention into the university’s continued suspension of the student’s leadership.
The suspension of the students’ leadership followed the death of a UCU student Bewatte Betungura who had gone to campaign for his friend and the university management resolved to suspend the student’s leadership as investigations raged on.
