Jak II is very much a love it or hate it game. As the sequel to Jak and Daxter The Precursor Legacy, it seems, on it's face, a transparent attempt to grab hold of a changing mainstream video game audience. But I for one think that Jak II, sure, radically alters it's inspirations from the games that inspired the first Jak and Daxter...but does so in a way that raises the bar in gameplay and storytelling for the series and the medium at large. In this video, we will be looking in depth on why I think Jak II comes together so well and why I find it quite under appreciated today.
