Indian and Nigerian nationals have filled more jobs in Britain between 2019 and 2023 than UK citizens, according to official figures.
Data from HMRC, obtained through a Freedom of Information request, revealed that Indian nationals saw the biggest job growth, with 487,900 more positions taken during this period.
Nigerian nationals followed with 278,700 more jobs, while UK nationals saw an increase of 257,000.
Overall, 1.481 million more jobs were filled, with 1.465 million of those going to non-EU nationals. Meanwhile, jobs held by EU nationals dropped by 241,600.
