This is a Doepke "Barber Greene" model toys Sand Loader that I have converted to motorized 12V power. it has an 80Rpm high torque gear driven motor hidden inside the faux engine housing, & a 12V high torque gear driven 35Rpm motor turning 22" of 1.75" (earth) augers inside a 2" copper pipe with a sealed ball bearing installed in the cap on the opposite end of the auger motor. there is a 2 lead 12V power supply in the base & a quick disconnect cord plug with an on/off switch (5A fused) the wood box is 25 1/4" L x 11 1/2" wide & 4" tall. I installed roller ball bearing Idler gears (2) & a new chain. the material I am using is flax seed, seems to have a desirable slipperiness that augers well & doesn't bounce too much. It holds 2 lbs. of flax seed. these are somewhat unusual & robust toys that lend themselves very well to this type of conversion & is a blast to run. thanks for watching.
