ABOUT SRI KOKILA MOHAN:-
Sri Kokila Mohan, was born on May 10, 1956 to the couple Smt Vagdevi and Sri Ram Murthy. Being the last child of the seven siblings, Shri Mohan’s childhood was filled with love and affection from his parents and his brothers and sisters.
He did his schooling in 'National school', Bangalore and then continued his studies in National College… Being a BSc graduate, Shri Mohan actively participated in all the co-curricular activities..
During this time, he was caught in the eye of the well-renowned theatre artist Sri B V Karanth, the founder of the "Benaka drama company"..
Mohan joined the troop and began his journey as a stage artist.
He then once accidentally met Sri G.V Shivanand (son of Sri Gubbi Veeranna) who introduced Mohan to Sri Balu Mahendra, who was preparing for his first directorial Kannada film, that also happened to be Sri Kamal Haasan’s first Kannada film titled “Kokila”..
Mohan was well appreciated for his acting in the movie “Kokila” and was called Kokila Mohan in the Kannada film industry ever since.
Aparichita, Bhoolokadalli YamaRaja, Nammammana Sose, Gaali Maathu, Muniyana Maadari, Haavada Hoovu, Hennina Sedu are few of the Kannada movies he has acted in. The most recent Kannada film he was seen in was in the year 2009 with Sri Nenapirali Prem in the film, “Gautam”
He made his Tamil debut with the film "Nenjathai Killathe" and also acted in Kilinjalgal, Payanangal Mudivathillai, UdayaGeetham and many more.
He also worked with Sri ManiRathnam in Idhaya Koil and Mounaragam which moved on to being one of the classic hits of the Tamil industry..
With his extremely surreal and realistic acting, he was known to be the "Rajendra Kumar" of the Tamil industry and was also very lovingly called "Mic Mohan" by his fans and followers ..
Having acted in around 110 films across Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam , Sri Kokila Mohan has set a record for most of his movies completing 100 days and 25 weeks in the theatres making him earn the title of "Silver Jubilee Star"
Sri Kokila Mohan recently played the lead role in the movie, "Hara", and is also to be seen in the most awaited film GOAT (Greatest Of All Times) alongside Tamil superstar Ilayathalapathy Sri Vijay.
