The Madonna of Kyiv, also known as Our Lady of Vladimir, is one of the most famous Marian icons in the world. The icon depicts Mary with her face near Christ's face and has been associated with several Marian apparitions. Michael Lichens, editor of the Catholic Exchange, joins to discuss the icon. Michael talks a little bit about the history of the Madonna of Kyiv icon. Mary appeared several times to different people. Lichens shares more about some of the apparitions. This icon is also venerated by Russian Orthodox Christians. Lichens tells us if there is anything else he wants to share about the Madonna of Kyiv.
