Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to face a rare political challenge. Opposition lawmakers have moved a no-confidence motion against him over the deadly violence in Manipur. The debate will allow MPs to corner the government on sensitive issues ahead of key state elections. More than 130 people have been killed in Manipur since May. About 60,000 residents have also been displaced. Mr Modi had been silent about the ethnic violence until last week, when he condemned a video showing two women from the Kuki tribe being paraded naked by a group of men who were assaulting them.
