Bangladesh Embassy in the Hague observes the National Mourning Day 2023 and the 48th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with due respect and solemnity.
15 August 1975. The darkest day in the history of independent Bangladesh and her people. Some misguided military officers assassinated Bangladesh’s Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and [18] of his family members and close associates on this day.
In marking the 48th National Mourning Day, the Embassy and people of Bangladesh in the Netherlands pay solemn tribute to the "poet of politics", through poetry.
