How to Identify Shasta Daisies (Leucanthemum superbum)
This is a Shasta Daisy, a perennial that blooms from early summer until the first frost of the year.
It has as round growth habit, with smooth green stems.
The leaves grow alternate and are toothed. They grow directly from the stalk. The Upper leaves are lanceolate in shape, while the lower leaves are oblanceolate.
The flowers form broad obtuse rays that are white in color. In the center they have yellow disk flowers.
Shasta daisies like fertile, well drained, moist soils. It does best in partial shade but can grow in full sun.
