Tricolour flew high today at the Lal Chowk in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, in honour of the 74th Republic Day. Images from the city showed the Lal Chowk clock tower with the national flag flying proudly. Notably, the Lal Chowk clock tower has always had a significant influence on Kashmiri politics. The national flag of India was flown at the famous site for the second consecutive year. In order to commemorate the nation's 74th Republic Day in 2022, the Indian Tricolor was for the first time ever flown from atop the Clock Tower in Srinagar's renowned Lal Chowk area.
