This video compares a stock RTX 3080 to an overclocked RTX 2080 Ti in Doom Eternal at 4K with the Ultra Nightmare settings.
The RTX 3080 footage is from Nvidia's world premier video:

The RTX 2080 Ti system specs are as follows:
GPU: RTX 2080 Ti @ 2100MHz/2050MHz
CPU: i9 7980XE @ 4.8GHz all cores / 3.2GHz mesh
Memory: 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 Trident Z RGB @ 4000MHz CL16-17-16-38 1T
PSU: EVGA Supernova 1600W T2
Primary SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB
Chassis: Phanteks Enthoo Elite
Cooling: Custom water loop
Capture Device: Avermedia Live Gamer Bolt - GC555
The footage is from two missions in Doom Eternal. The first is from the Doom Hunter Base mission and the second is from the Mars Core mission.
Why does this 2080 Ti do so well?
1. It's watercooled in an overkill custom loop.
2. It's shunt modded so that power limits are not a factor, although flashing a BIOS with a 380W power limit would have sufficed as well.
3. It's at a locked 2100MHz GPU frequency. Zero dips, no throttling.
4. Memory is overclocked to 2050MHz (multiply by 4 and that gives you the reported 8200MHz). That results in 721.6 GB/s of memory bandwidth.
