HOKA MAFATE SPEED 4 First Run & First Impressions Review. It's been a long time coming but we've finally got our hands on a pair of the new Hoka Mafate Speed 4's. I first saw these out in Chamonix when we were there for UTMB and I've been hearing great things about the shoe ever since. It's been a while since I've run in a pair of Mafate's, in fact, I think it was way back when I had a pair of Mafate 2's! If I'm honest, I didn't really get on with them and I found them a bit stiff and bit clunky to run in. I'm hoping for better things in the Mafate Speed 4's so let's lace them up and take them out for a run.
