Alto Choir Practice: “Agnus Dei”. Gabriel Fauré composed his Requiem Op48 in D minor, between 1887 and 1890. “Agnus Dei” (Lamb of God) is from the Gospel of John, with the proclamation: "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world". Fauré blends the "Agnus Dei" with the Communion antiphon Lux aeterna and verse Requiem aeternam .
