In this video, we first ask, why get verified? It is possible to have a project on Giveth without being verified. However, there are some pretty huge benefits to getting verified. Here are some reasons:
✔️ It creates a greater legitimacy for your project.
✔️ It will make your project stand out and get listed as a “verified” project on the platform.
✔️ You will become eligible for the GIVbacks program, which allows your donors to earn GIV.
In order to get verified, you will prove to Giveth that your project makes the world a better place. You will find the form “Verify your project” on your project page. Include as many details as possible to increase your chances of getting verified by Giveth. Share milestones, proof of your work, how you’ll use the funds, if you have a charity status with your government–not required but helpful to learn more about you.
Note that it is possible to have verified status revoked for any of the following reasons:
✔️ No activity and no updates posted within 3 months after receiving your verified badge.
✔️ Giving or offering goods or services to donors in exchange for their donation.
✔️ Circulating donations raised by other means.
✔️ The funds are not being used for what is expressed in the project page or submitted verification application.
✔️ Unscrupulous or fraudulent activity
