This is a restored copy of the Sondheim musical "A Little Night Music" which was broadcast live from the NYC Opera Nov 7, 1990. It is based on the wonderful Bergman film comedy "Smiles of a Summer Night". Some musicals like this one are operettas in disguise and are suitable for the opera stage. The video has been restored to look OK at HD, but it will still look a little soft with some slight sharpening artifacts.

The cast includes Kevin Anderson, Beverly Lambert, George Lee Andrews, Sally Ann Howes, Daniella Ferland, Regina Resnick.
