Suresh Poduval directed his first malayalam devotional album ‘Niramala’ in 2010. Niramala is a fusion of folk art form called Payyanur Kolkali and the traditions of Payyanur Subramanya Swamy Temple. This temple is considered as the ‘Pazhani of North Kerala and according to puranas the name Payyanur is orginated from 'Payyante Ooru',means the land of Subramanya.
The lyrics of the century old Payyanur Kolkkali songs mainly springs from the century old traditions of Payyanur Subramanya Swamy Temple through ‘word of mouth’. It was the need of the hour to modify, structure and re-arrange the songs to suit the present age, in which he was a grand success.
Famous Singers Jayachandran, Sujatha, Venugopal, Rimy Tomy, Shankaran Namboothiri, had lend their voices. Niramala, video album has been sung/acted by Madhu Balakrishnan and Kavalam Sreekumar. It was well accepted and appreciated. Become very popular through television chanels and other social media. Due to it's wide acceptance this audio album 'Niramala' which had a local release in Malabar area only in 2010, was re distributed in 2015, all Kerala level with a new design and style.
