TCI or Total Combustion Inc is a Canadian-owned incineration company, that developed an innovative engineered solution to deal with waste gas.
The idea was born from a well that was down in the Tabor area which used the entrainment of air in the stacks to premix waste gas and air to get a complete burn within the stack. In the early days no one cared about flaring but as time went on more and more people complained about flaring and TCI utilized that opportunity to develop the company.
The units can be rented, TCI has facilities in Red Deer, Grande Prairie and Weyburn SK.
If you have sour gas, burnable gas, or rich gas their system can handle those gases. One of the key benefits of TCI’s products is they can operate with NO visible flame, no black smoke, and no odour. The incinerators developed by TCI are a methane emissions reduction technology because their systems convert methane gas into a less potent greenhouse gas.
Since the system can achieve 99.8% combustion, they are fully able to convert that methane molecule into CO2 and water thereby reducing your carbon footprint.
When you go to Westech & TCI to find an environmentally friendly alternative to flaring we will need to know what the fluorine of the gas is, gas composition, the pressures, what application is involved and the elevations. With that information, Westech and TCI are able to design an engineered solution for your waste gas needs. Also, Westech & TCI’s field technicians are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
At the federal and provincial levels, there is more and more public pressure to reduce methane. Methane is known to be a highly potent greenhouse gas and so TCI does consider its technology a methane reduction technology.
Currently, TCI is in the process of designing incinerators for two different types of applications including a non-combustible unit and an enclosed combustor for tight applications. As TCI looks toward the future, they just want to continue innovatively meeting their customer's needs.
