Dana (Kristen Connolly) and Marty (Fran Kranz) escape to the underground facility and are able to activate the "System Purge" which releases all of the monsters into the facility and many workers including Steve Hadley (Bradley Whitford). They do this to secure a possible escape from this nightmare however are not aware of the massive repercussions their decision has made.
