Much of what we write, create, and document now exists exclusively on the web, and web archiving — the process of collecting, preserving, and providing access to web materials — is what enables individuals and organizations to build and maintain collections of these at-risk resources. In her talk, Samantha Abrams will discuss the Ivy Plus Libraries Confederation’s collaborative approach to archiving the web, and answer questions about how researchers, scholars, and practitioners across multiple disciplines might engage with and use these curated collections.
This presentation is sponsored by the John Hope Franklin Center, the Duke University Center for International and Global Studies, and the Duke Library.
