Loosening a TCT (Tungsten Carbide-Tipped) saw blade nut can sometimes prove challenging, particularly if it's been overtightened or hasn't been removed for an extended period, leading to rust or corrosion. However, an easy method to loosen it involves first ensuring your saw is unplugged for safety. Then, wear gloves to protect your hands. Apply a penetrating oil like WD-40 around the nut and let it sit for a few minutes to break down any rust or corrosion. Use the wrench that came with your saw, applying pressure in the direction opposite to the blade's rotation. If the nut is exceptionally stubborn, gently tap the wrench with a hammer to help break the seal. Remember, the right preparation and tools can make this task much easier and prevent damage to your saw.
