Michael Goldman is Professor in the Department of Sociology and the Institute for Global Studies at the University of Minnesota and the V.K.R.V. Rao Chair Professor at the Institute for Social and Economic Change in Bangalore, India. He specializes in transnational, political, and environmental sociology; global urbanization; and expert networks of finance, development, and urbanism. His latest book, based on a decade-long ethnography of the World Bank, is titled Imperial Nature: The World Bank and Struggles for Social Justice in the Age of Globalization.
