The "All Lit Up" fireworks display in the CBD in Auckland, New Zealand for the opening ceremony of the Rugby World Cup 2011 as viewed from Devonport.
While it may not even be close to being the best in the world it was spectacular for NZ standards ;D

The 'All Lit Up' show lasted about 12 minutes and was set to an original composition by singer Don McGlashan, however we were not close enough to hear anything other than the resounding boom of the fireworks.

Reportedly 3.5 tonnes of explosives were used, set off from four barges on the Waitemata Harbour, the Sky Tower and 4 other prominent buildings.
I personally loved how how all the smoke was being illuminated and the use of the searchlights :) Comparing to our New Year display it was not disappointing.
