I drove from Cologne to the Hürtgenwald in the Eifel Region near Düren/Aachen to visit the Hürtgenwald 1944 and in peace Museum.
In this area in 1944 the heaviest fights between german and american soldiers ever took place, and it was an absolute desaster for the americans:
