The first recording, sung in German was made in 1935 and Saltburner2 has informed me that the second, sung in English, was recorded on 24 April 1941 while Tauber was singing in the stage version of Blossom Time in Birmingham.
I have put an on screen translation to English for the German version which is actually somewhat different to the translation used by Tauber in the English version.
