In the land of so many ways to cook an awesome hamburger our Smokey Cheese Jalapeno Stuffed Cheeseburger leads the pack in incredible flavor and goodness. This is such a simple recipe and once you’ve tried it you will be wondering why you never made this before and how can you ever go back to eating regular cheeseburgers.
Simple and quick is the key to these Smokey Cheese Jalapeno Stuffed Cheeseburger and best of all they are just incredible. Here’s how we did it.
RECIPE for 3 – ½ lbs. cheeseburgers
INGREDIENTS
• 1½ lbs. of 80/20 ground chuck
• 1 medium size Jalapeno pepper Roasted
• ½ cup of shredded Gouda cheese
• ½ cup of shredded shard old cheddar cheese
• slices of Swiss cheese
• 3 large hamburger buns
• a bit of butter for the buns
• Jalapeno Rum Pineapple BBQ Sauce (see video here: [ Ссылка ] )
• Toppings of your choice

DIRECTIONS
• First we have to roast our Jalapeno pepper 00:53
• Start your grill and set temp to 400ºF
• Once temp is reach put your Jalapeno pepper on grill for 15 minutes rotating it every 5 minutes
• Once ready slice pepper in two, remove seeds and slice & dice your roasted Jalapeno pepper in small pieces 01:50
• Separate your ground chuck in ¼ lbs. balls 03:56
• Once done flatten each ball to about 3/8 inch thick
• On first flattened patty in the center of it add 1/3rd of the diced Jalapeno peppers 04:49
• Then add 1/3rd of the Gouda cheese
• Then add 1/3rd of the Old Sharp Cheddar cheese
• Make sure there is space all around the stuffing
• Add top layer patty over filed patty and carefully press the edges together all around to seal the stuffing. This step is critical to assure no cheese is lost while cooking so take your time with this one.
• Start your charcoal with your preferred method. We use 2 chimney starters
• Once coals are lit add to Weber Kettle and open both vents wide open
• Once temp of 400ºF has been reach open lid and add stuffed burgers over coal area to sear each side. 07:36
• Once burgers are seared on both sides remove from coal area and place them on the grill over indirect heat. 08:50
• Close cover and cook for 5-8 minutes per side
• In the meantime butter each hamburger bun halves
• Once burgers are nearly done put your buns over hot coals to toast 09:47
• Put your slice Swiss cheese on your burgers
• Keep an eye on the buns so that they do not burn
• Once buns are toasted and slice cheese has melted it’s time to bring them in
• Spread some Jalapeno Rum Pineapple BBQ Sauce over your patty 11:22
• Add your favorite toppings and
