0:15 – 5 Socorro ISD El Dorado High School Navy JROTC students participated in a pledge instructional video and were recognized by The Veterans of Foreign Wars for raising awareness in the Socorro Independent School District on the proper way to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge.
1:16 – SISD students from Dr. Sue A. Shook Elementary School Student Council gifted students at H.D. Hilley pink socks adorned with mustaches and puzzle pieces to spread goodwill, cheer and kindness. Both student councils participated in team building activities.
2:34 – Socorro SISD Partner in Education and school liaisons came together for the district’s annual Partners in Education Exhibition, where local businesses and nonprofit organizations shared information on the services and resources available to campuses.
3:59 – Socorro SISD hosted a film festival to showcase the talents of audio and video students from across the district with special screenings of the scary movies they created.
4:39 – SISD 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students from 30 elementary schools in the district participated in this year’s elementary science fair at Socorro High School.
5:35 – Socorro ISD and Mc Donald’s of El Paso will host a basketball tournament at Eastlake High School that will feature top talent from local high schools as well as high schools from across the country.
6:33 – Team SISD hosted a military family night mixer at El Dorado High School where attendees got to meet campus administrators, see various performances by students, meet other service members and hear from a special speaker.
