Rule adjustments if you’re used to the original Evolution game:
- Each round, deal 4 cards to each player, plus 1 per species they have
- Each species can have up to 4 traits (only 3 in a 2-player game)
- After your setup each round, if you saved cards, you can choose to put any number of your extra cards on the bottom of the deck and draw new cards from the top to replace them.
- There are new blue trait cards with climate-related abilities, and some traits from the original game have added climate-related abilities.
- The climate track can help or hurt your species and affect the food supply each round (see the Climate Track chapter at 14:57 for details on this addition and how blue trait cards work with it).
