Beast Busters featuring KOF is the latest in the series to celebrate the series' 25th anniversary and KOF 20th anniversary. Unlike Metal Slug Defense and Rhythm of Fighters, this one follows the original closely but unlike other rail shooters on mobile devices where you can tap anywhere on the screen to shoot, this one has decent FPS-like controls where you move the camera angle with the left side of the screen in any direction and tap or hold on the right side of the screen to shoot.
As of this year, you can choose between default and special weapons but special weapons have limited ammo. The amount of ammo for special weapons are specified in the info and to get back that amount of ammo, that will be after whichever stage you're in. Also, there are tickets where you can pay them to get additional cores from Ticket Exchange. The previous update has Daily Mission section where you complete the same achievements everyday.
Updates aside, each stage is really short that deconstructs or ruins the arcade experience of the previous Beast Busters games. Also, there are social gaming elements in this one as if many eastern mobile games may have them like virtual card management, scoring and power that depend on those cards, cutscenes from characters represented by cards but that depends on the game and so on.
Lastly, this device as I've been using may encounter some lag when running this game. I guess that I have other games in here but this was released three years ago. This is Area 2 which is starting to get challenging but Area 3 onwards is starting to get really hard unless you're so powerful enough to deal with stages that have higher levels.
