Paul Brest (Hewlett Foundation, USA) offers his reflections on 3 issues: Evaluation of think tank performance and influence; the impact of core support; and the importance of leadership. He advises the community to focus its energies on the questions of enhancing research quality and influencing policy "in a good way".
This is the concluding plenary session, and the final gathering, at the Think Tank Initiative Exchange 2012. It invites both panelists and attendees alike to evaluate the event, and offer their conclusions and closing remarks.
Various panelists provided their reflections on a number of important themes including performance evaluation, research quality, policy influence, the value of core support, leadership, operational management, networking, and shared knowledge and learning.
