Testing Active sky FS & Xenviro against the in sim Microsoft Flight Sim Default Live Weather to find out which app give the Best performance and has the best interpretation of the weather . We will be testing 6 diff. ICAO's with varying weather to get a good base line on the performance meter in msfs. I also come across some incorrect weather depiction in some of the weather apps as well which i use navigraph to show the weather and cloud cover in the area so you can see for yourself what we should or shouldn't see in the sim. I also go over the developers websites and go over some of the features of both and the prices of both applications. I am not affiliated with either developer and my goal here is to help you from spending your hard earned cash and to help you choose which one to buy Or not. I was not able to get a shot of each weather engine perform at the same time at each airport due to Xenviro and Active Sky cannot be loaded into the community folder at the same time, In order to do it this way I would have to record ex-enviro and Microsoft flight simulator log out of the simulator Remove Xenviro from my community folder install active sky in the community folder reload into the simulator spawn back into the airport and then record what I see there. The time that it would take to do that is so long that I felt that was not feasible to do it in that manner therefore I chose to do it the way I show here.
