J. R. Lafin studied flute with Aurèle Nicolet and played first flute with the Berlin Radio Orchestra under, among others, Herbert von Karajan.
His experiments in flute head joint building led him to Japan and Muramatsu and later to England and Albert Cooper.
He emerges today as one of the premium builders of flute head joints.

Just Completely Overhauled with Straubinger pads, new felts and corks, new headcork. Disassembled, cleaned and meticulously reassembled.
The mechanism is in great shape with no lateral movement. As close to mint as possible.
