Today on our 2016 GMC Yukon we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Glacier twist-link snow tire chains with cam tighteners, part number PWH2228SC. Keep in mind this is being used with tire size 26565R18. The Glacier snow tire chains are made with a twist-link chain design that provide extra grip and traction. The chains are constructed of a low-carbon steel with side cams that helps keep the chains tight on the tires. These chains work on front or rear wheel drive vehicles, are designed for highway use and come in a quantity of two. Now that we've gone over some features we'll show you how to get these installed. I've gone ahead and laid out my chains just to make sure there aren't any kinks or breaks in the lines.

We want to make sure that our hooks and our cams are facing out and that the cams are completely loose when we place these on our tires. To start our installation we'll pick up our tire chain and just drape it over our tire. Now we'll adjust it, so that it fits evenly from front-to-back and side-to-side. Now we're going to rotate our tire all the way to the right, so that we can reach behind the tire without having to get underneath our vehicle. Here on the back of our tire we're going to connect our links to our hook. I'm going to go for our third one here.

Then we'll go around to the front and secure that next. Here on the front we're going to connect our links to our cam hook here. We'll go for our third one once again at the front, taking our hook through, pulling it back and securing it with our extra link here on the end to keep that in the correct spot. Now we'll take our tightener took. We're going to go around to our cams and secure as many as we can.

With as many cams secured as we can get, we're going to drive forward a couple feet, get out and double check the tension. We can always tighten up this last cam, if we need to, or we can tighten up the links just a little bit more. That's going to be our completed look at the Glacier twist link snow tire chains with cam tighteners, part number PWH2228SC on our 2016 GMC Yukon.
