DCS 2.5.1 is now in beta!

Attacking artillery objective @15:51.
Strafing run @17:52.
Attacking spotted convoy @42:17.
Landing @58:45.

This is the second mission in the Charnwood campaign for the P-51 Mustang. The second mission involves an attack on an artillery target, and I spot a convoy moving along a road during the armed recce.


The missions featured in this campaign take place during the Normandy invasion in 1944 and typically consist of CAS tasks. DCS 2.5.1 has added some new aerial explosions and flak effects, which look much better than they did in the old system. Each of the missions are handcrafted to be as historically accurate as possible. My only real issue with the P-51 as it is right now is the inability to set bomb timers prior to takeoff. This makes dive bombing difficult, as I have to release higher (and therefore more imprecisely) to avoid blowing myself up with my own bombs. Hopefully DCS will fix this problem, as bomb delays are modeled in competitor sims (IL-2 BoX for instance).
