To make rural women self-reliant, the FORTI Women Wing will work with the government to provide a platform. After the swearing-in ceremony of the new executive committee of the FORTI Women Wing, newly appointed President Alka Gaur and General Secretary Lalita Kuchhal spoke exclusively to ETV Bharat. They said that FORTI is a business organization whose Women Wing has been working for many years to bring women forward in business. Now, they will work with the government to provide a platform for rural women.
Swearing-In Ceremony of the New Team: Newly appointed President of the FORTI Women Wing, Alka Gaur, announced her team. In the new executive committee, Usha Agarwal and Pooja Agarwal have been appointed as advisors, Lalita Kuchhal as General Secretary, Nandita Shekhawat and Pooja Rastogi as Vice Presidents, Sakshi Ahuja as Joint Secretary, and Jyoti Panwar, Akanksha Jain, Purnima Goyal, Sonia Badaya, Rajkumari Goyal, Reena Agarwal, Mahi Yadav, Varsha Gupta, Juhi Kedia, and Sarika Kumut as executive members. BJP Jaipur Lok Sabha candidate Manju Sharma administered the oath of office to the new office bearers and members of the FORTI Women Wing. All office bearers pledged to work together for the upliftment of women in Rajasthan under the FORTI constitution. Former Mayor of Jaipur Jyoti Khandelwal was also present at the event.
Women Achievers Honored: The ceremony also honored women who have achieved special distinctions in various fields. Among them were the country’s first MBA Sarpanch Chhavi Rajawat, Mamta Sapera, Shatabdi Awasthi, Mamta Awasthi, Deepali Sharma, Dr. Gunjan Jain, Neeru Yadav, Manju Sharma, Chhavi Sharma, and Pushpa Mai. On this occasion, FORTI patron Surja Ram Meel, President Suresh Agarwal, and Youth Wing President Sunil Agarwal congratulated the new executive committee of the FORTI Women Wing. On this occasion, Alka Gaur said that her priority is to develop women empowerment and women entrepreneurship. She aims to reach government schemes to women entrepreneurs and address their issues to help them progress. She mentioned that discrimination against women at the workplace is a matter of concern, and the government needs to work on this issue.
Providing a Platform for Rural Women: General Secretary Lalita Kuchhal said that the FORTI Women Wing will open branches in all 50 districts of Rajasthan and help bring forward women entrepreneurs according to the specialties of each district. The FORTI Women Wing has been working for many years to promote women in business. Efforts are being made to encourage more women to come forward, but now the need is felt more in rural areas as well. Rural women have no shortage of skills, but they lack a platform. Therefore, the FORTI Women Wing will work with the government to provide a platform to make rural women self-reliant in the coming times.
She said that women are not lagging behind in any field in the country. They just need an opportunity, which is their right. The FORTI Women Wing will work towards that. Vice President Nandita Shekhawat mentioned that several schemes have been launched by the government for women, but rural women in remote areas are not aware of these schemes. They will try to bring these women forward and make them aware of the schemes. She expressed a strong desire to work on skill development and will collaborate with the government on this. They aim to expand this platform beyond Rajasthan to the national level.
