In loving memory of Mehdi Rahimi (1921 - 1979), an esteemed Iranian lieutenant general whose unwavering loyalty and bravery marked his distinguished career. As the last military commander and chief of police in Tehran during the 1979 Iranian Islamic Revolution, he faced a pivotal choice, opting not to use force to protect civilians. On February 16, 1979, he faced a firing squad with unwavering resolve, uttering "Javid Shah" (long live the Shah) as a testament to his loyalty to Iran. Today, we honor his sacrifice and cherish the lasting impact of his legacy on the nation's history.
