A tense hearing at the State Capitol was underway Wednesday as lawmakers grilled top officials from the EDD. The lawmakers were demanding answers from the EDD’s new director, wanting to know how the state agency couldn't figure out the difference between billions of dollars in fraud and legitimate unemployment claims from Californians.
