Don't forget to clean your shower mat!

The shower mat gets just as dirty as the rest of the shower. A shower mat left unchecked will soon become a slimy, moldy, mess.

This is how to clean a shower mat in 3 simple steps.

1.) Remove the mat from the shower.

2.) Throw the shower mat in the washing machine with two large bath towels and wash with warm water on a delicate cycle. Use your regular laundry detergent. You can also throw a half cup to a full cup of baking soda in there as well to help aid the cleaning and deodorizing process.

3.) Let air dry. Don't put the shower mat in the dryer. The dry heat could crack the mat especially if it's rubber of plastic.

Bonus step number 4. Maintain! Pull up the mat and put it on the side of the tub to drip dry after every use. This will prevent mold causing moisture from staying trapped under the shower mat.
