A tragic incident occurred near Poonch, where a 2.5-ton army vehicle, veered off the operational track and fell into a gorge. The incident happened on December 24, with 10 personnel onboard. Unfortunately, five lives were lost, and five others were injured. The casualties were promptly evacuated to the Field Hospital in Poonch. A terrorist incident was positively ruled out after confirmation from ground sources.
