This is a video tutorial showing a number of workflow shortcuts that are applicable to most, if not all, iZotope EQs; Nectar 3, Neutron 2 and Ozone 8.
I love workflow shortcuts. Who doesn't?
Most of these shortcuts work in any iZotope modules that have some sort of spectrum display with movable parameters. I'm using Ozone 8's EQ, but the dynamic EQ will work the same way, also these are cross-plugin in iZotope devices.
In the spectrum hold shift and move a filter node up or down to lock the filter nodes frequency position.
In the spectrum hold shift and move a filter node left or right to lock the filter nodes gain amount.
Change the value of a filter node (i.e. gain or frequency) and then shift click that parameter to A|B the current and previous position.
Hold control and move any parameter to make micro adjustments.
In the spectrum right-click a filter node to change its filter type.
Alt-clicking any parameter will set it back to its default.
In the spectrum double clicking any filter node will return it to its default frequency and gain position.
The values shown on the outsides of the spectrum (the top, left & right sides) can be zoomed in on by using the mouse wheel while hovering over them. Double click them to get back to starting positions.
In the spectrum right click anywhere for quick access to the EQ & Spectrum options.
EQ options include:
Show Spectrum (on/off)
Show Music Notes
Show Extra Curves (Phase Delay / Phase Response)
Spectrum Options include:
Fill Spectrum
Show Peak Hold
There are many other great features in iZotope EQs that I have covered in other videos. Click here to see how to use Ozone 8's EQ Matching feature and click here for external sidechain routing for the Dynamic EQ in Neutron 2.
