'Have You Ever Flown Across The Sky?' is the third single taken from the new Adult Cinema album 'Hot and Cold.

This single version of 'Have You Ever Flown Across The Sky?' released on 25th September 2020.

‘Hot and Cold’ is the all-new studio album from Adult Cinema featuring twelve never before released recordings.

Crafted by Mike Weston in two studios he built in the garden of his current and former Southend homes over the last three years, this album contains the evolution of the Adult Cinema sound. As with previous albums, there are nods to the great bands of the 60’s and 70’s, but now Mike has added flavours from later eras and has further defined a unique sound for the band.

All new compositions and recordings include the future favorites, ‘Black God’, ‘Spanish Garden’ and ‘The Sun’. Mike also revisits the three-track epic with the triptych of ‘The Rain / Egg / The Future For Us’.

The songs on ‘Hot and Cold’ cover a myriad of subjects such as religion, hatred, cowardice, control (and the loss of it), dual personality, science and atheism.

Mike says, "There’s a general theme to the record of extreme opposites of personality within a person and of hypocrisy that I see in others and, indeed, within myself - hence ‘hot and cold’ fitting the nature of a person's moods and actions from one moment to the next.

I left England in the snow to travel for a year with my wife and young son and landed in the heat of Florida and then Spain and wrote most of the album whilst away. This also fitted into the theme of the hot and cold weather and cultural difference that these climates can cause.'’

The design for the album cover was created by Mike’s father, who started Mike’s musical journey and remains a creative force in his own right as an artist and signwriter.

This twelve track new album is sure to please existing fans whilst appealing to those new to the band with a set that undoubtedly moves the Adult Cinema sound forward.

Adult Cinema is the classic rock band helmed by Mike Weston. The debut album 'This Is Your Life' was hailed by critics as the "missing link between Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree" for its songs that harked back to a golden age of rock. But it was also Mike's musicianship which garnered their praise:

“A winning blend of Meddle-era Pink Floyd, beguiling psych-folk and classic rock riffing. Mike Weston is an accomplished songwriter and musician who deserves a wider audience.“ wrote Joe Clay of The Times.

Like Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree, Mike wrote played and recorded all the Adult Cinema material on his own, only occasionally drafting in players for a handful of gigs.

It was only when tracks from 'This Is Your Life' began cropping up on TV shows all over the world that he considered going back into the studio.

The album found its way into the hands of numerous music supervisors and the tracks were being played on TV shows from Brasil to Finland and back to the USA.

Encouraged by this new found attention Mike has pulled together all the tracks from the original album sessions and compiled a collection entitled 'Teaser Trailer (out now) and the remastered 'This Is Your Life' was re-released on 25th May 2018 and now 'Hot and Cold is the brand new studio album.
