Which ketchup is healthy? And which ketchup should you avoid?
Ketchups have become an integral part of Indian households 😬 although strongly believe that Indian chutneys are much more tasty and fresh and heathy ☘️🍅
Ideally, we should not buy these Ketchups as all these packed items have preservatives & emulsifiers to increase the shelf-life.
Personally, we do keep Ketchup in our house but try to use it only 1-2 times a week and in small quantity 🙋🏻♀️
While buying Ketchup, focus on these points -
✅ Must have higher Tomato content 🍅 usually it varies between 50-85%
✅ Fewer ingredients, stay away from highly flaouved ones
✅ Quantity of Sugar. Do check the % of sugar in the mix
‼️ Drop the product if it has Sodium benzoate, Potassium bromate, Sodium Nitrate, Sulfur Dioxide, Sodium Sulphite
