Te Arikinui Kuini Nga wai hono i te po has been welcomed on to Pōtahi Marae on Friday, Te Kao by the people of Te Tai Tokerau. It’s the first time in her capacity as the Māori monarch to visit the Far North, bringing back the kawe mate of her late father Kiingi Tuheitia who has strong links to Te Aupōuri iwi.
